Introducing Automated Email Marketing for Dealerships
2026-08-02
We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new automated email marketing system for car dealerships. It’s a full email platform — automated campaigns, scheduled newsletters, manual blasts, deliverability tracking, and CRM segmentation — and it’s built directly into your DealerZone dealer management system. No bolt-ons. No third-party integrations. No separate contact list to maintain.
Even better: it costs a small fraction of what you’d pay for SendGrid, Mailgun, Brevo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign, or HubSpot — and the full pricing breakdown is on our features page.
Why We Built Email Marketing Into the DMS
Every dealer we talked to told the same story: they were stitching together generic marketing tools that weren’t built for how car dealers actually sell. Contact lists lived in one place, inventory lived in another, and getting the two to talk to each other required expensive integrations or a lot of manual copy-and-paste.
A generic email tool doesn’t know that a 2023 Audi A4 just had its price lowered. It doesn’t know that a lead saved a specific vehicle to their favorites. It doesn’t know that a car came off hold and is available again. Your DMS knows all of that— so the email platform should too.
What’s in the Release
Automated Campaigns Triggered by Real DMS Events
Enable a campaign once and let the system handle the rest. Emails go out automatically when specific things happen inside your DMS:
- Latest Inventory — recurring newsletters that pull in your freshest vehicles on the cadence you choose.
- Price Lowered — the moment a price drops, subscribed shoppers hear about it.
- Off Hold — when a held vehicle becomes available again, interested buyers get notified.
- Featured Vehicle — flag any car as featured and send a spotlight email on your own schedule.
Each campaign can be enabled or disabled independently, so you can start conservative and turn on more as you see results.
Email Templates Built for Cars, Not Coupons
Every account starts with polished default templates pre-loaded with the blocks dealers actually need — hero vehicle photos, year/make/model, trim, mileage, stock number, price, and a strong “View Details” call to action that links straight back to the vehicle’s page on your dealership website. All content is pulled live from your DMS, so pricing and photos are never stale.
Want a custom design? DealerZone will build customized templates with your branding, logo, and colors as a complimentary service — no design fees, no hourly billing.
CRM Segmentation Using Data You Already Have
Target the right buyers using data already in your dealership CRM. Filter by past leads, saved vehicles, financing interest, or service customers — no separate contact database to maintain. When a lead unsubscribes, they’re suppressed everywhere. When you look at a customer’s profile, you see every email they’ve received, right alongside their leads, saved vehicles, and messages.
Full Analytics Inside Your Admin
Sends, deliveries, opens, clicks, bounces, complaints, and rejections all show up in your dealership admin next to your inventory and lead stats. No jumping between tools to figure out which campaign brought in the last sale. Trend charts show you how deliverability and engagement are moving over time.
Deliverability and Compliance, Handled
Double opt-in is enforced on every subscriber. Every email includes proper unsubscribe handling and is CAN-SPAM compliant out of the box. Bounces, complaints, and unsubscribes are automatically suppressed from future sends. Emails send from a warmed-up DealerZone domain with excellent inbox placement — and dealers who want to send under their own brand can add a few DNS records (DKIM, SPF, DMARC) and go.
Pricing That Actually Makes Sense
Generic marketing platforms — SendGrid, Mailgun, Brevo, Mailchimp, Constant Contact, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot — charge dealer-unfriendly rates for the volume most stores need. DealerZone’s email pricing is a small fraction of any of them, because it’s built into the DMS you already pay for rather than sold as a separate marketing product. See the side-by-side pricing comparison on the feature page for the full numbers.
How It Fits With the Rest of DealerZone
Email marketing is now part of the same platform that already handles your DMS, your dealership website, Craigslist posting, and eBay listings. If you’re still on the fence about consolidating tools, our post on why every dealer needs a DMS explains why keeping everything under one roof matters.
Getting Started
Existing DealerZone customers already have the email module enabled in their admin — log in and open the Mail Automation section to pick your templates and turn on the campaigns you want. Not yet a customer? Request a demo or get in touchand we’ll walk you through it.
We’re proud of this release. It’s the kind of feature that pays for itself many times over — and it’s another step toward giving dealers a single, complete platform for running the business instead of a pile of subscriptions that don’t talk to each other.
